The door was built open without panels, symbolizing the perpetual incoming of good deeds, good fortune and bliss of the world. The main gate with the terraced-roof was for the entrance of the 8th Bogd Jebtsundamba Khutuktu and his attendants, the gate on the east was for Khans and Wang noblemen of Aimags, Khanpo and Tsorje Lamas, as well as foreign guests, and the gate on the west was for court musicians and royal guards.
