The Salime reservoir is in the west of the Principality of Asturias, on the Navia river course.
The construction of the Salime Reservoir to produce electrical energy by the Saltos de Navia society began in 1945 and was inaugurated in 1955. It constitutes the third reservoir built on the Navia River, after those of Arbón and Doiras respectively. Joaquín Vaquero Palacios was its architect.
