"I feel very fortunate that quilt making is my hobby. Quilting instills in me a great deal of self satisfaction which no other crafts can do. Completing a quilt is a big challenge and especially so when creating my own designs. This quilt consists of 19,500 three-quarter-inch squares and took over 1200 hours to piece. There were many times I felt I should give this project up. After finally finishing the piecing, both my husband and I felt the wrong side of the quilt top was more attractive than the right side. Two weeks later, I made the difficult decision to use the wrong side, knowing leaving the seam allowances visible could be a dangerous attempt. I was very pleased with the results."
