Great Horned Owl

Great Horned Owls are large and dominant hunters. Called the "Tiger of the Sky," they are unafraid of preying on medium-sized mammals and even other raptors that might fight back! The distinctive smell of skunks doesn't deter them either as they do not have a well developed sense of smell. The CRC medical center often gets in injured Great Horned Owls that have tangled with a skunk and lost the smell battle. P-U!
