Greek dance

This work is one of seven panels made of sanguine dedicated to the theme of dance over the centuries, placed in the ballroom. In this Greek dance of Preraffellite taste, two dancers guide their companions, one of whom is intent on picking the crown of cadutal flowers from the head. The elegant and ethereal attitude of the girls is underlined by their light drapery that reveals the shapes of the body.
