Natividad Rodríguez (Jaén, Andalusia, 1976) is a multidisciplinary artist who currently combines creation with research. Rodríguez seeks new languages of expression and dialogue between new materials and traditional techniques. Currently, her work is developed through biomaterials, where she transforms the material and its conceptual contribution, transmitting a new language with unexpected materials.
Rodríguez founded the artisan firm Kabuki in 2005. The artist has collaborated with renowned designers and has won awards such as the National Crafts Prize for the Craft in Progress project. She is also a member of the teaching team for the Master’s Degree in Contemporary Crafts in Valencia and collaborates with the company Recykyo in the design of new materials and applications.
