The salon vert, or green room, in the home belonging to Baroness Pauline de Rothschild (nee Pauline Fairfax Potter) located on the rue Mechain in Paris. The largest room in the apartment, this detail shows 18th century Chinese wallpaper, the blue-and-gold chairs by Nadal, and the very low rolling straw trays edged in steel. On the tray sits blue-and-white K'ang Hsi vases each with a tall yellow iris flower. On the floor to the right is a Canton enamel candle-lantern.
