Excavated in Younan village, Honglin Commune, Tai County in 1978, this piece, with sturdy, smooth body, lustrous jade-like glaze and vividly beautiful shape, is typical of ceramics made by Jingdezhen. In the shape of a 12-rib pumpkin that is cut horizontally into two parts, this case has a lid with vine-like ornaments and a flat bottom. It is covered with greenish white glaze all over.
