At the beginning of the fifties of the last century, Gliha entered a new, recognizable stage of creation. In a different way of looking at the rugged coastal area, he discovers the combination of strong walls made of stone and Glagolitic, a letter whose decorativeness reminds of ornaments and arabesques. Since that time, he has been creating a characteristic landscape with a short but layered name - "Gromače" with a quick and thorough deviation from the classic expression of clear forms. The pastoral spreads of color, light, sharp and short strokes define the entire opus of "Gromača", which Gliha analyzes for the next 20 years. The ability to extract only one detail in a rocky, crumbling landscape rises from everyday life. The painting is dominated by the cracked stone, rough bushes, burned slopes.
