Gropius Door Handle

The design for the door handle was created in 1922 in Walter Gropius's (1883–1969) private workshop according to his own instructions, with a substantial contribution from his colleague, Adolf Meyer (1881–1929). At the time, Gropius was the Director of the state-owned Bauhaus in Weimar and rented the workshop nearby to work on his own private commissions.
