Ground floor plan for Six Cottages, Wickham Bishops

Arthur Heygate Mackmurdoc.1905

William Morris Gallery

William Morris Gallery
Walthamstow, London, United Kingdom

This architectural drawing shows the ground-floor plans for six cottages in Wickham Bishops, Maldon, Essex. The cottages were designed with motor houses to store motorcars. The unpretentious houses were deliberately simple with brick walls, tiled roofs and plain casement windows. The houses were built, although not entirely to this specification, and can still be seen of Kelvedon Road in Wickham Bishops.
