Guide to the Godeffroy Museum (p. 36-37)

This extract from “Führer durch das Museum Godeffroy” (Guide to the Museum Godeffroy), published in 1882, shows the floor plan of the ethnographic and anthropological collections exhibited in the upper floor of the museum. Visitors would find numbers attached to the display cases, which could be used to look up information on individual objects in the guide book.
