This image captured by NASA 2001 Mars Odyssey spacecraft shows some of the numerous dark linear streaks on the floor of Gusev Crater. These streaks are formed by wind action. The dark streaks are where dust devils have removed the surface dust, revealing the darker rock beneath. Gusev Crater is the home of the MER Spirit lander.
