Since its establishment in 2009, the Gyeonggi Creation Center has been leading Korea’s modern and contemporary art trends, expanding from a residency for visual art to a multi-genre residency complex,
and serving as a platform for unique culture and art education contentsthrough the provision of creative art education, with the aim of fostering direct communication between artists and the public.
In addition, the center, as a supporter of local creative talent, is planning to build a creative village for artists, conduct the Gyeonggi Bay Artistry Project, and establish the cultural creation governance of the Gyeonggi Bayarea, in order to assist the regional culture and tourism industry by reviewing Gyeonggi Bay’s cultural resources and producing cultural contents for the west coast area including local festivals.
