Götterdämmerung

The artist accompanies this work with the following essay:

"The three Wise Men—there were only two. To the fisher-cloaked Fod, the Son of God placed the keys of heaven in his hand. The seven days of creation—there were only six. For heaven’s gate, you’ll need a cutting torch. It feels very heavy, but an open gate to heaven no longer exists.

Pedophiles occupied God’s house, stripped away innocence, and murdered the church mouse. The white doves have long stopped cooing; they did not fly away—they were struck down, right then and there.

The seven priests—there were only six. They sought to defile every innocence. The worst part is, and they did not know, that innocence was a mutated witch. The guardian angels had long since fled, the devil nailed the Bible to the wall and held the fisherman’s mask in his left hand.

There were only six—the Magnificent Seven. Even the devil’s own could not drive him out.

There, no one celebrates, no one laughs. The gates were flung wide open—Mephisto holds absolute power there.

The Holy Congregation had an idea: they declared Mary to be an angel-maker.

The seven bridges—there were only six. The gates were bricked up, the chimneys too—never again was white smoke seen.
Behind thick walls, two popes worship their Lord; of course, children are welcome here as well.

Where no bars separate the fish, that is what they call freedom. God’s hands are frozen stiff. It is what it is—what remains is the gutted Christ.

Below, in the river, drifting unnoticed and in sacred silence, floats a single, small, white child's shoe."
