Güllaç is a traditional Turkish dessert with a history dating back centuries. It's especially popular during the holy month of Ramadan and other special occasions. It is made from very thin layers of starch-based sheets soaked in sweetened rosewater and milk. It is traditionally layered with crushed walnuts between the sheets and garnished with pomegranate seeds.
