This 250 watt rod-shaped hair dryer was sold by Siemens under the name EDIR from 1935 to 1967. The Bakelite housing consists of two symmetrical halves. In 1935 this was a technical manufacturing innovation, because only one die was needed. The power lead runs through the handle.
