Along the Elbe embankment near Blankenese, archaeological finds, again and again, are dredged from the river. Amongst these finds is a large number of axes made of deer antler, which presumably were used for very diverse purposes. Possibly, they come from a Stone Age dwelling site that was located where the course of the Elbe now runs.
