The saber was found by the donor in the wall of a plantation quarters cabin at Allendale Plantation.

A hand-crafted saber of carbon steel, having a metal guard wrapped around a wooden handle. The slightly curved blade measures 24.75" in length, and the cylindrical handle measures 3.50" in length. A loop of iron extends out from the handle 1.75".
