The folio represents Hanuman bowing on Rama's feet. When the detectives of Sugriva, the exiled money king of Kishkindha, informed him of the presence of two strangers close to Rishyamuka mount, he sent Hanuman to find their identity and objective for being there. The moment Hanuman saw Rama, he recognised that him as his master and bowed down to touch his feet. This simple composition with an opaque yellowish background by a Jaipur artist represents the deep blue- bodied Rama in partial regalia as brother Lakshmana is waving a 'Chauri' (fly whisk) and he himself is putting on a crown. A white horizontal patch and a few deep blue curls on the top of the folio symbolise sky, and a deep green-yellowish strip, on the bottom, the earth.
