Delicate openwork mount from harness. These mounts were used to decorate the horses harness and make them appear more impressive. Alongside pendants they would also have jangled as the horses moved, meaning that the horses could be heard coming. The polished metal would have glistened in the sun making the horse and rider look larger and more intimidating.
