Dick, Kerr Ladies and a 'best of the rest' side competed for the Harry Weldon Cup.

The trophy was named after the comedian and music hall performer Harry Weldon, who invited the two teams to face each other at Anfield in 1921.

Despite the 'best of the rest' team featuring top players from across the British Isles, Dick, Kerr Ladies dished out a 9-1 thrashing, to the delight of the 25,000-strong crowd.
