This handscroll is comprised of 15 poems and illustrations that are alternately placed on each fan-shaped paper. The poems were composed by literati in Yanagawa domain while the illustrations were painted by Soho. They express scenes of people of various statuses and occupations enjoying the harvest moon. Regardless of being rich or poor, the moon in each of the scenes is depicted with an essence of elegant simplicity.
