A rounded cap-like hat in white faux fur (silk pile woven fabric) with an ear-like extension at the proper right side; embellished with black faille piping and black net veil; two hat pins with black glass heads in association with hat; main cap form created in two pieces�a closely fitted rounded back and a flatter front half with slightly upturned brim; the underside of the brim is a third piece that extends out into an ear-like form on the proper right side; the seams joining the front and back and front with underside of the brim are piped with black ribbed fabric or grosgrain ribbon covered cording; veiling extends across the front of the hat and is attached near the piped seam on the proper left side and above and below the ear-like extension on the proper right side; internal stiffening material is woven straw; inside of hat is lined with a single piece of light weight white silk; dark brown grosgrain ribbon �sweat band�; attached woven label: �OPE. 13-21 Rose Nemours 8 RUE D PAIX, PARIS� in brown on a white ground.
