A small fabric �Carmen Miranda�� type head-wrap hat; the hat is formed from a piece of black and white woven plaid fabric twisted, pleated and pinned in the desired shape; a backing of poor quality heavy newsprint-like paper has been used to stiffen the fabric in the front and crown areas of the hat; a black elastic thread strap is pinned in and spans the hat from side to side; no stitching or labels evident.
