Head Gardener's House, Stagenhoe Park, Hertfordshire

A photograph of the Head Gardener's house at Stagenhoe Park in Hertfordshire. The dwelling was divided in two with the butler living in the right-hand wing and Ball's family in the left-hand side. Undated, but perhaps c.1870. Matthew Ball (1817-1905) was the Head Gardener to Lord Templemore at Stagenhoe for many years.
