Head

The work "Head" is one of the most characteristic works of Filonov and Analytical Art. The artist creates on a very fragile paper base, which he reinforces with cardboard, a composition that initially gives the impression of being dominated by sinuous lines and exotic colour combinations. The image, in fact, is fragmented, creating a vast mosaic of colours and images that allow light to pass through the work, as the bright colours refract the light and cast it in all directions in which the head is "turned".
