National Museums of Kenya
Nairobi, Kenya

The beautiful long hairy skin was obtained from a killed animal. The Headdress is known in Luo vernacular name as kima; a kind of cat like animal, hardly found in Kenya forest but in Uganda. The design on the skin has no special significance except it is worn on the head of a dancer for beauty. It can also be tied on any part of the body if the head is already full with other ornaments.
