From the Artist: During the pandemic I collected all the clear plastic food containers that we brought home from the grocery store, where fruits and vegetables were packed in. I recycled the containers and adorned them all with red markers, creating stream-of-consciousness meditative art. The heart is ever present as the international symbol of love. Simply said, in hard times everyone needs love more than ever. Call it drawing or doodling, I immersed myself into creating a series of hanging sculptures, a mobile and freestanding sculptures, to bring love, peace and solace to myself while creating the works. I added many red dots and circles as an imaginary counteraction to the pandemic virus, as part of my art meditation. It was a wonderful catharsis to then take the many items of would-be-trash in a landfill or ocean and create symbolic art for love in a time of fear.
