Art piece made with small “straws” called "Arte popotillo". Ariosto Rivera wishes to revive and preserve this extraordinary pre-Hispanic technique. Achieved in extreme detail, they represent Mexican gastronomy with a nopal (cactus) heart that is formed and surrounded by elements that aim to provide a symbolic representation. They not only achieve high detail in the making of the art piece but in its meaning, every element has a specific intention in supporting the narrative.
