Possagno, Italy

Pallas Athena holds her right hand on the owl and with his other hand he holds the shield, where the Medusa is depicted. The goddess is seated on a throne raised above a round pedestal where the birth of the goddess is depicted. In front of Athena, the priestess Teano, who offers the richest cloak of the palace, approaches with her hair down on her shoulders; behind it is Hecuba in the act of supplication; she is followed by the painful matrons, gathered in the long cloaks.
