Hei. Neck ornament. Consisting of small yellow pūpū (shells), Orobophana pacifica, and speckled brown and white spiral shaped pūpū. The pūpū have been arranged to form a pattern consisting of two to three rows of small yellow pūpū that alternate with two to four rows of the speckled brown and white coloured pūpū, they are bored and are threaded onto cotton thread. The threaded pūpū are then wrapped and possibly sewn into a fabric tubular base.
