Heitor Villa-Lobos and Arminda Neves d'Almeida met in 1932 and started to live together from 1936. In 1960, the year after the composer's death, Arminda is appointed director of the Villa-Lobos Museum, created by decree in June 22 of that year, in order to preserve and keep the work of Heitor Villa-Lobos alive and sound.
