Full-body photograph of Villa-Lobos at 21, with the dedication “To his beloved sister off. Heitor Villa-Lobos. 11/908 ”. In 1908, Villa-Lobos traveled to Paranaguá, in the state of Paraná, as a commercial representative of a company that manufactured two-headed matches, with the company's bankruptcy, Villa-Lobos remained in the city and acted as a musician, playing the cello at concerts. The composer dedicated this photograph to one of his three sisters, Bertha, Carmen or Esther. It is known that in November Villa-Lobos was already in the city of Rio de Janeiro and, therefore, dedicated photography at a later date to his production.
