Nairobi, Kenya

Small beautifully made hen house about eighteen inches long and one inches high. Made by men from the "Luvongolo" plant, the sticks tied together with "Mkoma" fronds. Used by everybody and sometimes left on the ground near the house but usually hung in a tree at night. The hen is kept in it so that the "Siafu" (Ant) will not eat it.
