Henley Royal Regatta, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire

The first Henley Regatta took place in 1839. The event was given royal patronage in 1851 and became so popular that it covered five days of rowing. For many years spectators were allowed to watch the races from the river. Aerofilms photographed the regatta, a notable event in the social calendar, on several occasions.
