The flyer, written by Bamberg's private physician Henning Scheunemann, provides information about physical signs of illness and advertises inexpensive therapies and medicines. This was obviously aimed at broad public reception, especially by poorer subjects, but also raises the question of practical implementation in a largely illiterate population. Scheunemann's recommendations for the circle of healers might have been more useful.
