The Henry Moore Insitute celebrated 25 years in its city-centre home in 2018. Part of the Henry Moore Foundation, a charity set up by the sculptor Henry Moore to promote the appreciation of sculpture, the Institute is a research centre for sculpture, free and open to all. For the festival, the Institute commissioned new work by Tamar Harpaz, Rashid Johnson, Maria Loboda and Sean Lynch, which was shown alongside Cauleen Smith’s film Sojourner, 2018, presented in a new installation. The exhibition at the Institute considered the responsibility of objects, and their capacity to convey human identity, past, present and future.
