Heracles Relief

Contrary to his usual young, completely naked and struggling depictions, this relief, unearthed near the Acropolis, depicted Heracles as mature and wise. It is understood from the archaeological data that many historical figures like Alexander the Great, Mithradates, and Hadrianus identified themselves with Heracles.
