The Cage
We all need a cage.
We need it to know where we belong: In the cage.
The cage protects us, makes us feel safe, we hold on to its bars to pull ourselves up.
The cage is double walled, or double barred we should say; it consists of an inner and an outer cage. The inner cage we build partly ourselves, the other part is delivered by the environment; the outer cage is delivered partly by the environment, the other part we build ourselves.
If the cage does not have a solid floor but has only been slipped over your head, you can throw it off, then you are free.
But that is very dangerous.
