Richard C. Wandel and Hernan Figueroa. This picture directly follows the announcement of Wandel's win as GAA President. Wandel, as both an activist and photographer, played an active role in documenting and publicizing much of gay life and activism in the 1970s and '80s. He founded the National History Archive at The LGBT Center in 1990.
