The Heart of the Race: ‘Black Women and Work’ chapter drafts

Materials relating to the Organisation of Women of Asian and African Descent (OWAAD), the chapter drafts for Heart of the Race, ephemera and periodicals relating to campaigning both within the Black women's movement and other student organisations.
This folder labelled 'Black women and work (early drafts and notes) yr. 1980' contains copies of 'Fowaad' no. 1 (January 1979) and [2]? Feb. 1980, a copy of 'Women and Slavery in the Caribbean: A feminist Perspective' by Rhoda E. Reddcock. Also included is a photocopy of an unidentified article, 'chapter XI: Other Social Needs and Services,' handwritten notes from interviews, extracts from Outwrite, no. 15 and no. 5 Spare Rib [unidentified] and handwritten and typed drafts for 'Black women and employment'.
