Temple Fair and Silkworm Custom High Pole Boat

This is an entertainment form related to the custom of silkworm and is also a kind of local physical exercise. There is a standing boat with a high bamboo pole in the middle, and under the bamboo there are four short bamboos to be fixed. During the performance, several men will hold the bamboo pole and the performer in white clothes will climb from the bottom of the bamboo to the top and do some amazing acts. Actually, the actions just imitate the way of silkworm spinning silk. Initially, the performance was on during Qingming Festival, nowadays, tourists can enjoy the amazing performance every day in Wuzhen East Scenic Zone except for bad weather.
