Vaccinium corymbosum (highbush blueberry) is an upright, medium-sized shrub with dark, glossy, ornamental foliage that turns bronze, yellow, orange, and red in fall. Small, white, urn-shaped flowers bloom in spring and attract a variety of bee species. The petite flowers mature into attractive, edible blue fruit that are popular for fresh eating and baking. Birds are also attracted to these fruit.
