Hippo-Rhino (Chilotherium)

Houston Museum of Natural Science

Houston Museum of Natural Science
Houston, TX, United States

The zebra-like Hipparion was long-legged and fast. And in most places, its comparison was the short-legged tubby hippo-rhino. They were true rhinos, close kin of today’s Rhinoceros, the Asiatic one-horned rhino.
