Black and white postcard showing His Majesty's Theatre. This is the fourth theatre to have stood on this site on London’s Haymarket since 1705. It was constructed in 1897 by noted theatre architect, C. J. Phipps. It is a large and symmetrical building with an open loggia, large dome with cupola and corner towers. The production advertised is ‘The Seats of the Mighty’, the first play to be performed in the new theatre when it opened.
