It is interesting to note that Antoni Parera, the author of this medal, also made the sculpture "To the Defenders of Girona in 1808 and 1809" (1894) located in Plaça de la Independència in Girona, and the monumental sculpture entitled "Girona" (1928) in Plaça de Catalunya in Barcelona.
