This photograph by Lance Tabraham shows Historic England's Processions banners being carried outside HMP Holloway. During the struggle to obtain the vote, over 1,000 suffragettes were imprisoned at Holloway.
The banners were created by artist Lucy Orta, London College of Fashion and women from HMP Downview. Banners are part of Holloway's history. The embroiderer Ann Macbeth made the Holloway hunger strike banner in the form of a friendship quilt in 1910.
