History: First Production After The Fire

Pictured are Minnie Gentry & Jesse Firse in I Gotta Home, written by Shirley Graham, directed by the Gilpin Players in Feb. 1940. The play was performed at Case Western Reserve University's Eldred Hall Theatre after the cast was displaced due to Karamu's theatre building fire.
