A type of head dress for upper class boys’. This decorative Ho-geon gained its name from the tiger’s eyes and ears motif that are gilded in gold foils, as the symbols for sagacity and protection from evil spirits, respectively. There are also other gilded motifs and letterings for the longevity of the baby. It is usually worn at his 100th’s day celebration or the 1st birthday, and used up until 5-6th birthday.
